Latest reviews of Mushrooms PRO - Hunting Safe app for iPhone and iPad
Very easy to identity mushrooms. Especially I like the online consultation where other users and professionals vote on species.
Beautiful pictures, well designed, I like the quiz and notes section. However, it is lacking in the variety of mushrooms. Two of my favorites are not listed, Lobster (hypomyces lactifluorum) and Coccora (amanita calyptroderma). There a dozens of varieties of Chantrelles available here on the west coast, but I only found the most common listed on the app. If more varieties of edibles were listed I would like this app, but honestly it is not worth the expensive price. Go with the Audobon app.
Otherwise like the app.
Nice layout for the app but it is missing a LOT of very common species. Not as useful as I hoped for that reason.
Havent had a chance to thoroughly go over but what I have played with seems pretty nice... Looked up several of my known species and this app directed me to appropriate species Ill leave another review very soon with all that the rain brings and more :) aurora is king.
